How to place a FREE advert if you want multiple listings
New to Sites4bikes and want to place an advert,
here is a step by step guide on how to place a listing:
We are currently running a special offer where
all listings are free - you will still need to go through PayPal
but the listings will not be charged.
There are two types of listing either a single
advert (Pay-Per-Listing)
or multiple adverts
- If you want to list multiple adverts then either
click "Register" (top right of screen) or the "Sell"
tab.
- You will be taken to
the "Sell" screen. At the bottom of the screen there
are two options, either "Subscribe today" (multiple
listings) or "Pay-Per-Listing" packages.
- Click on the option you wish - both take you
to a similar page, just with different payment options
- Once in the sign up page, you need to:
- decide on the payment option you want
- enter your first name
- enter your surname
- enter your user name (this is what will display on your adverts)
- a password (to allow you to log in and add / edit adverts)
- your e-mail address
- read and agree the terms of use and check the check box
- click submit
- A confirmation page will appear confirming the
package you are signing up to and to click through to the Paypal
section. This will open into Paypal's website.
- Once you have paid via paypal your account will
be automatically activated and you can start placing your advert

Once you have registered, how to place an advert.
- You need to login using your details you used
to register
- Click on the "Create new listing"
icon
- This will take you to the "Add a listing"
page where you select the category to add your listing to (Riding
school, Dealerships, Motorbikes, Parts & Accessories, Motorbike
holidays) then click submit
- This will then take you to the listing creation
page for the category you have chosen which contains various boxes
- these are the common ones:
- "Title" - this is the heading of
the advert and what will appear in page title bar
- "Private notes" - this is where you
can write your own notes that only you can see from your own login
view i.e. a sales number
- "Description" - this is where you
can add the detail of what you are selling (bear in mind carriage
returns do not display on the advert)
- "Special offers" - this is where
you can enter any special offers or deals about the product you
are offering, it will appear under its own heading in the advert
- "Price" - the price
- "Travel directions" - you can add
directions and address as to how customers can find you
- "Check boxes" there are a number
of check boxes that can be selected dependant on category - these
are searchable by customers
- "City" - this is the city or town
you are based in
- "Region" - the region of the country
you are based in - a searchable field
- "Postcode" - postcode
- "Keywords" - enter specific words
about your product that people may use when searching for your
product. These will be held in the meta data of the page and are
used by search engine robots to index the page when people search.
- Then click submit
- Your listing has now been submitted, click the
"You may now edit your advert"
- This will show you the fields you have entered.
On the left of this page is a link that says "Edit images",
click this to add your pictures
- In the "Upload a picture" screen you
can add up to 8 photos using the "Browse" function for
each picture. Once you have added the photos click "Upload
picture" this will upload all the photos (it may take a few
moments)
- Once this has been done your advert is complete.
Click on the "My listings" link on the left navigation.
- This will show you all your listings and you
can modify the listing from here. If you click on "Modify"
next to the advert you can then preview or amend the advert again.
